The WarioWare series is an excellent detour into the absolutely mad world of Wario and his friends, so it's great to see this DS game released on Wii U Virtual Console.
We thought we'd show you how great this game is via the medium of video. Watch and enjoy!

I like all the viewing options they have for the DS. Now I can see why it took so long to put DS games on the VC.
Got this with my original DS all the way back in 2005. Can't believe this game is 10 years old this year.
Still play it on my DS to this day and for that reason I had to download this.
Easily one of the best Warioware games out there.
I don't really care for any of the DS games being released. Bring on DK64!!
This really is a great iteration of Wario Ware.
Here's hoping Twisted makes it unto Wii U virtual console as well.
Don't need it, I have the DS card complete in box.
I'm itching for a new WarioWare game. D.I.Y. was too limiting for its own good. It worked as a spin-off, or as a separate "app", but it doesn't quite fit as a full fledged entry in the WarioWare series. Game & Wario had some neat ideas, but it needed more of them, and it pales in comparison to the ridiculously fun and replayable Smooth Moves.
Incidentally, we are four years in and there is not a single Wario game for the 3DS. You bonkers, Nintendo?
What's up with that cover picture? My copy has an orange cover.
This game actually may be more fun on the Wii U VC due to being able to post your high scores on Miiverse, so I may buy this again.
Never played on DS so i may consider this when it hits the states.
I want to get this again, but at the same time...I want to wait for Rhythm Heaven, lol
@sillygostly play spongebob squigglepants
Why are they giving us lesser rhythm games such as WarioWare and not giving us the best rhythm game in general Rhythm Heaven? At least give Europe and America it because we wont get the Rhythm Haven remakes.
So, how does this work? The touch screen part is the gamepad touch screen?
@Chaoz ...WarioWare isn't even a rhythm game...lol. They're just minigames that last a few seconds each. (besides boss minigames)
@Pod I agree, yes! Twisted and Touched are the two best games in the series. I'm sure they COULD emulate the gyroscope with the GamePad's motion controls...but will they?
@Nintendo_Ninja The color varied by region for some odd reason. Our USA boxes were orange, but the one pictured is PAL.
@mjc0961 So negative, dude! Certainly, WarioWare is not for everyone, but it really is a fantastic series for some of us. I look forward to downloading it and seeing how Wii U handles DS games first-hand soon.
This gives me hope that Wario Ware D.I.Y could appear on the eShop.
P.S Wario Ware D.I.Y 2, please. There's a lot of things in the first one you could improve, fix, and add.
@mjc0961 Figuring out what to do, quickly, is actually the core mechanic of the game. It's like a rapid fire puzzle game. If you don't like that, then sure it's not for you, but it's certainly not a broken game.
This and Twisted are far and away the best in the series.
This is my favourite of the Warioware games and was my very first Nintendo DS game (I got the original DS to start with). Great game but I wouldn't want to risk damaging the Wii U gamepad when it gets really quick! Will stick to my DS version.
As i bought the other 3 releases... mario 64, dk64 and kart ds i got this for free. It is frustrating but a nice freebie though.
Hope they do more incentives like this soon.
@Nintendo_Ninja It's the European cover art
@mjc0961 the way the game doesn't tell you anything is pretty much the point - You have to figure it out yourself! Criticising the WarioWare series for that, is like hating Super Mario Bros. for having too much jumping on platforms
@mjc0961 What is your problem? Can't you solve EXTREMELY simple mini-games that only last a few seconds? really? is it that hard for you?
This game is extremely meh, or at least is very meh relatively, because the touch screen can really only do so much regarding microgames.
I for one am still adamant that my opinion of the best WarioWare (Smooth Moves) is blatantly and objectively correct.
On a more serious note, WarioWare 3D when? I know it's probably never at this point but hot damn did they miss a barrage of great possibilities with analog control, 3D, and gyroscope in one console.
Pyoro T (this game's Pyoto bonus game) is IMHO the best Pyoro game ever!!!
@CapeSmash ...But I want Rhythm Heaven DIY first! TwT lol
I love this series.
lol alternate art be uglay
I hate to complain, (as I always wanted to play that game, and it's nice it's getting a rerelease) I still don't understand the logic of having DS VC games on WiiU, instead of 3DS. Seems like they're giving the WiiU VC all the "new" VC consoles/games now.
They better release more Game Gear games, or Turbograf-X, or something for 3DS. Feels like they're running out of Gameboy games for it.
@Beau_Skunk Well it's easier to support 1 console than 2. I think focusing on Wii U VC and then introducing N3DS/Wii U crossbuy for NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, DS VC when the DeNA Club Nintendo replacement is in place will be what Nintendo does (SNES and GBA being unplayable on the standard 3DS).
I'm such a big fan of this game. It was the first DS game I played, and it really showed what the touch screen could bring to gaming.
Twisted was great, but it never came to Europe.
Thankfully, that was before the awful decision to region lock their hand helds...
Yeah, I def agree that this is a great little quirky game and a lot of fun. Extremely creative with some of those micro-games too. I mean one them is basically Fruit Ninja and was around quite some time before that game ever happened (I'm absolutely convinced Fruit Ninja directly copied that game actually)
@Chaoz rythm heaven was awful
also warioware is a minigame collection, not a ryhthm game
Looks like that cover in the image was left under the sun for a few years.
@Chaoz i got rhyme heaven on wii and the game was quite boring to me...
