I like the look of Fe but know very little about the gameplay. I'll wait for the reviews to start rolling in before making any purchases this week.
I'm not counting the Bayonettas as a purchase this week since I've had them preordered for weeks now.
Got an early copy of Xeodrifter yesterday, and probably pick up the physical digital Bayo pack.
Bayonetta 1,2 and of course Samurai Aces. Aqua Kitty on my Wish List!
BAYONETTA 1 & 2 physical coming tomorrow. So I GUESS, technically I'm downloading the first game . . . .
I read that as John Denver's Lone Wolf lol
Fe and Old Man if reviews are favorable. Aqua Kitty on wishlist pending reviews as well. Will probably wait and just get Bayo 2 physical used (don’t care to play 1, really).
Nothing for me this week. Trying to finish up Fire Emblem Warriors and then moving on to Skyrim after beating XC2 on Monday.
@bezerker99 Little known fact: John Denver didn't die in a plane crash, a lone wolf got him while he was traveling home on a country road somewhere in West Virginia.
Bayonettas for me
@8-Bit_Superman Don't worry. Bayonetta 1 and 2 will still be available next week too.
I think I'll get... "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)"?..wait, why is that Link there again?..
@JHDK Its why I wish every game had a demo.
FYI the Switch NA eshop (on the console itself) says the release date for Fe is today but the online eshop says tomorrow.
Fe for me. Looks incredible.
Not sure when Fe's reviews are supposed to appear, but gamesradar's looks like it went up early and is available via google cache.
Fe looks amazing, but I'm hoping for a physical release (in Europe, please)...
Bayonetta limited edition is on its way already.
Maybe I'll double dip for Layers of Fear, but I guess I'll wait for a sale.
And I'm very much intrigued by Old Man's Journey.
... and plenty left to play still...
Bayonetta 1 & 2 for sure, maybe Fe.
@JHDK It is a poll for what you're downloading this week, so no reason not to check the boxes, I guess. Not that it matters much, just thought I'd point it out.
Bayonetta 1& 2 with out a doubt
I have to admit it: even with Bayo I/II coming out I couldn't hold myself from double dipping on AQUA KITTY. I strongly suggest it to any HSHMUP fan, it's a true arcade shooter I could literally lose myself into. And I'm trying not to pull the trigger on Samurai Aces but man... that's SO hard...
Why are we still limited to three choices? Many weeks have more than three games worthy of purchase...
Fatal Fury 3 and Gate of Doom are tempting, but I might as well enjoy what I have and see how the FE Warriors DLC is. I kind of want Secret of Mana on PS4, but it’s completely unnecessary as I still love and own the original. Monster Hunter World still has lots to offer as well.
Too many games.
Bayonetta 1 & 2 physical for sure. Might try Fe. Game looks beautiful but like others I'm unsure of the gameplay and story. I have lots of games that need to be finished so no hurry in buying new games.
Can't wait for Fe to be available tomorrow. The game looks quite interesting ...also at the right price!
Bayonetta 1+2 coming to my house soon. I'll download those demos in the meantime and see if any click with me.
Escape Trick looks interesting, but have to see the price. May be an "on sale" purchase. Don't really care about Bayonetta (just not my style of game). I did pick up Golf Story as it was on sale. Also added the Xenoblades DLC to my game and have realized I need a bit more power to tackle some of the sidequests now that the world is opening up. Keep getting pounded when trying to go it solo on that first continent.
Bayonetta, I will see you tonight. Both of you. You’ve been missed
3 demos on Switch in 1 week? I'm impressed, demos seem so rare these days. Good for them.
Looking forward to Fe, I really liked Ori, but it'll wait until the inevitable $5 sale on PSN, unless it goes on PS+ first. Not like there's any rush, backlog is growing exponentially while I play it linearly.
Fe looks very interesting, but I'm knee-deep into Darkest Dungeon, XC2 and my daily Splatoon 2 routine. Also bought Floor Kids during the last sale.
@SH007ME The link is probably there by mistake and / or laziness. Same thing with the typo in a 2 paragraph article.
Hoping EA doesn't slip and my Fe key comes in. I'll still buy it either way. Zoink is awesome.
Waiting on Fe reviews before I bite, it looks good and I like Zoink but Fe seems very different from Stick it to the Man. Also, that Old Man game looks fun, might get that one. Bayonetta/2 is tempting, but I'm holding off on those.
Getting nothing today. Might get either Portal Knights, DQ Builders or Bayo 2 for the Switch next week plus there’s a few 3DS games I want too. Had to cancel RH PC so might get that.
Radiant historia?
Trying to resist bayonetta (I need to buy games I've not already beaten, no matter how fun they are). But I'll get samurai aces for sure.
Fe for me. Probably will get it even if the review isn’t great. I really want that game. It looks amazing.
Nothing for me this week.
I want Fe, but it needs a review.
Polygon is praising Fe.
@standalone It came out. It is a lovely game. If you like JRPGs get it.
What a great week! My wallet is going to die. Bayonetta 1 (because I don’t get a choice even though I’m buying physical), Fe, Old Man’s Journey, Lone Wolf, and Xeodrifter.
Old man's journey is the one I want. Then Fe!
"RTO 2 is a side scrolling first person shooter." Wait, how does that work? I can't quite picture that.
Fe is on my radar for quite a long time, but I'm scared it will turn out bad, so I'll just wait for the reviews and probably a price drop. Pre ordered Prime 4 this week for €40, which is a nice deal at least.
Axiom Verge is 30% off in the American shop so I'm getting that. Demo of Violet is needed, been considering it for its sale price of $5 but can't decide without playing it.
So many games come out now a days.It's like night and day compared to the Wii U/3DS days.I can only buy so many.I hope the people who say "nothing for me this week" ether don't have the money,don't have a Switch, or have a huge back log.There are so many choices across so many different kinds of games I can't imagine someone not finding a game most weeks that they want to purchase.
Just Bayonetta 2 and Fatal Fury 3 this week.
Feck it, might as well use my US account and nab LoF from the eshop. Not waiting till next week.
@GC-161 I saw your comment about how bayo will be available next week. I know this is probably a dumb question but is it worth getting? I know nothing about the series and have never such as seen a gameplay video for it.
Can we have a review of Fe asap! It looks lovely.
Samurai Aces most definitely. Retro Shmups are the tater tots of gaming - one can never have enough.
@JHDK
No Psikyo shmup is worse then 8/10, so there's no reason to wait with Samurai Aces.
@Dom If you don't mind me asking, why over the last several weeks has the North American Nintendo Download update been posted before the European update? Is it personal preference, or something like Nintendo of Europe sending out their update later? Over the last 7 years I saw the European update was almost always up before the North American update, and I am just curious about the change.
Getting Bayonetta 2 physical. Don't know why still only in chapter 6 of XC2. Not even close to beating Skyrim, and week before last I bought FF XIV complete edition. Backlog is collosal.
Edit: Also getting RE Revelations 2 since it is on sale.
Gate of Doom & Samurai Aces for me!! Seems that I’m of the minority for retro goodness!
I'm getting my Switch this weekend! Can't wait to get Bayonetta 1&2.
"Switch isn't getting any games Q1!!" they said.
@Knuckles It's because more information for the North American download is available earlier in the day, so it's usually finished sooner.
@Dom Thanks for the response!
@Knuckles No worries dude.
Samurai Aces, Fatal Fury 3, and also Bayonetta 1 because that's how it is over here.
who the heck is johnny?
@joey302 I'm right there with you!
The Johnny Turbo intro before Gate of Doom is super cheese ball....... anyone else notice the emulation on it speeding up when you mash the A button? At least the music seems to.
@youkoaoshi I'm still waiting to play it as the game hasn't been released on the UK eShop yet.
Very keen to hear what the emulation is like so thank you for pointing that out.
@Lroy Overall the emulation is good. It just seems to be an odd thing with the knight on certain stages. No big deal but noticeable. Also they do offer lots of different graphic filters but oddly enough there doesn't appear to be a no filter option. There is a selection for none but it still has smoothing applied. Be nice to have a true no filter mode.
@Bakajin
My guess would be something like Cabal or those arcade lightgun style games, so youre shooting from a 1st person view while the background scrolls left or right.
I already own Bayo 2 on Wii U so nothing for me
@KillerTan98
There is a demo of Violett, though I can't remember which countries store I downloaded it from.
@youkoaoshi Cheers!
Terrible price on the Bayonetta games. I only spent $36.99 on them launch week for Wii U.
The Bayonetta thing is stupid, the first game should had been free if you bought the second one and both as a physical collection should had been $40, not $60.
