What’s the sale price on Project Zero?
NA sale please!
At first I was hoping for an equivalent sale in North America, but then I realized I've got too much to play as it is and I have been spending way too much money on games lately. A sale would only encourage me to spend more money I don't have on games I don't have time to play.
Pretty underwhelming all round. Might be tempted by Snake Pass, it seems like the only thing approaching a decent discount
Luigi' s mansion has a my nintendo discount as well as I recall...might give bulb boy a go...
Well that's a pretty poor sale as far as the Switch is concerned and surely they could have rock bottom prices for those Wii U owners who stayed till the bitter end.
They masked these prices as discounts to go along with the Halloween spirit!
Please don’t give us the shaft, NOA... US gamers like sales too!
It has to be a joke
I might pick up both shin Megami Tensei games as I have yet to pick them up but I rather have them physically but they are really expensive though as that.
Not even an American sale. Thats how crappy NoA is. Ill spend some money on the PSN Week 2 dead sale instead then.
@G0dlike It's free to download initially and you pay to unlock most chapters, so I haven't had a chance to check yet.
Really disappointed that this is all Nintendo are offering, especially the Switch titles up for sale with such meagre reductions. Already own SNAKE PASS (the only title I can see in the sale with a reasonable discount). Does anyone know if any more titles are going to be added? If not the Switch's first eShop sale can go down as utter trash.
Could be tempted by Snake Pass finally. And SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked. Anything over £10 is a digital no-no.
Why discount Bayonetta 2 and not the original Bayonetta ;_;
Good for those that haven't bought snake pass. Everyone else meh
If only shovel Knight on Switch had a physical, and that was on sale, then would have to snatch it up
I had hoped for a bigger discount and larger selection but it is what it is.I was planning to get Butcher anyway so I might as well get it now and save a little bit. Butcher, Mutation Nation and Odyssey it is for this week then. Not too shabby
@G0dlike 30% off, in euro is at 35€ instead then 50€.
Not a bad discount, but not a huge one either.
If it wasn't for the SMT games I'd get nothing.
Most of the Switch sales are so little they're pointless even being on sale.
Dang it! I was hoping for Overcooked, Oxenfree or Lovers in a dangerous space-time.
Also, a silent moment to anyone who bought Axiom Verge last week.
That’s a pretty weak sale besides the discount on Phantom Trigger. I really liked that game and would recommend to anyone into tough combat games. The game is very repetitive but has a cool atmosphere and rhythm to it.
I REALLY hope this sale comes to North America, because Fatal Frame has literally never been discounted before. I know because I've been waiting for a discount since it's release.
Bugger, I downloaded Luigi's Mansion last week using the MyNintendo discount, ah well you win some you lose some! To the moaners, I blame Steam, just because you're not getting something for about 50p. Most of these are quality games a bit cheaper. Not gonna set the eShop alight but if something here is on your wishlist, (we've all got them), tick a few off at a bit of a discount, better than a kick in the teeth.
Nintendo does not have the same definition of "halloween sales" as the rest of the universe
@thesilverbrick Snake Pass is on sale in NA at 50 percent off...have you played/would you recommend?
Considering it’s Switch’s first eShop sale, with the exception of Phantom Trigger and Snake Pass, that’s pretty lousy.
@BensonUii Your brother has a good sibling!
@Dang69 I’ve played about two thirds of the campaign and personally think Snake Pass is a pretty average 3D collectathon. Though at half-price, it does offer considerable value.
What is this £ you speak of?
Mostly games which are also available physically, which is disappointing... Wii U games should be a fiver or less now.
Would happily buy axiom verge again but not at that price
I get a nice chuckle any time people complain about things made cheaper not being made cheap enough.
Nintendo really need to think about what other companies like Sony mean by "SALE"! £1 or £2 off just doesnt seem like a much of a sale compared to PS Store! 2 months (sometimes a lot less) after PS4 games are released you can usually get them at 50 - 70% off in a PS Store sale!
Does Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove include everything Shovel Knight thus far? Like, I haven't been keeping up with the series at all, and I've only played a bit on 3DS, and got the physical Wii U release.
@G0dlike
£27.99
@Dang69 I loved it. Comments on this site have been mixed for some reason, but I found it to be incredibly enjoyable and unique. It's a very cerebral game. And the soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in years.
Got Binding of Isaac new from Amazon for £19.99 three days ago.
Woah, most of these Switch "sales" are like 10% off, that's really ... amazing, esp. considering that some of these games are several years old. Nintendo truly is dead last when it comes to sales. Every other mediocre Sony Flashsale beats a year worth of Nintendo "savings". Better than nothing, I guess, but really just barely.
Of course, that is entirely ignoring the fact, that we are talking just about e-shop releases here. The situation for AAA games, esp. 1st-party games is even worse =(
@Yosher Yes, Treasure Trove is everything.
A lot of people are complaining about this being a poor selection of discounts for Switch.
The console and these games/ports have barely been out over 6 months. Did you really think that half the eShop was going to be 50% off?
Finally picked up Shovel Knight, and considering Snake Pass and Butcher.
Reduced. Was 29.99, now £29.49 - basically. #worstsale
@Yosher Furthermore, it also includes the yet to be released DLC as part of the price/package.
North America better get a sale, we didn't have a Summer sale while EU got one...
@Dang69 Kids love it. My 7 y.o. niece and my friend's 5 y.o. daughter loves watching me play Snake Pass for some reason. Everytime I come over they ask if I can play the snake game. ^^
It's either that or Arms.
Like the idea of a Switch sale but "modest" is being generous.
Happy to wait for something more substantial - maybe around thanksgiving or Xmas.
While I know many of the games (especially on Switch) are fairly new, Discounts on the eShop, has always seem miniscule when compared to that on Sony's store where games could get slash 90%. Not enough to get me to buy on titles I passed at full price.
After looking through them I'm surprised they can call this a "sale". Technically they are but a 10% reduction resulting in less than a £1 drop in price; is that really gonna entice anyone to buy it? I was even considering Axiom Verge but if all I'm gonna save is like £1.50 I'll continue to wait for the Multiverse Edition.
About the only truly worthwhile sales are Snake Pass and Phantom Trigger; with a few others on top. I don't expect massive reductions, but at least 25-30% reduction minimum.
prices in euros too please
@ThomasBW84 I saw two SMT titles in there but no mention of IV Apocalypse: is it not on sale or did you just not list it?
Edit: also, if you tag it as a "European sale", I think you should add prices in Euros. You know, the European currency...
@gordjscott @Knuckles That's great! Sounds like a good chance to pick this one up on the Switch then. Thank you both!
Breddy gud stuff!
Tempted by Thimbleweed Park, but settled on Snake Pass as its the only decent reduction in the original price.
@DM666 are these discounts complementary?
Well... When they said hundreds, at least I expected one hundred...
I'm partially relieved there are no good deals the same week Mario is out. I've enough to be dealing with.
@ASTURmatr as long as you have a nintendo account they are.
@Zimon Great to see ARMS getting love...I quickly fell out of it and really hate/surprised that I didn't end up obsessed with it. It'd be sick if there's a large, younger crowd that'll grow up loving this game. Totally think it deserves it.
@thesilverbrick Awesome - yeah - the mixed response has kept me off of it but interested in it - I'll download it tonight with the Mummy!
@fluggy Small problem. It's not Nintendo setting these prices (apart from the Nintendo IP ones).
@Ikana64 Thimbleweed Park is super charming and tickles my Twin Peaks bone, BUT I found it kind of...slow and a little uncomfortable only because of how the cursor feels to move around the screen, without aid of a mouse. Would have been a perfect game for simple, practical motion controls via joycon. That said, that might just be me!
Bayonetta 2 - £27.99 (normally £39.99)
I can't believe they still list that game digitally as 39.99. It's over 3 years old on a dead system. They'd probably make some money listing it for $19.99 and putting it on sale for $5 while they can before every Wii U is unplugged forever. Bandwidth does't cost that much.
@Hikingguy Actually they are on Wii U including the GBA ones. The articles only lists the "highlights", there's much more.
Hmm.. I bought Cave Story, Axiom Verge, Gonner, Severed and Thimbleweed Park all within the last 3 weeks....
Very tempted by Bulb Boy and Binding of Isaac.
Would buy Disgaea at this price but... Mario, Doom, Skyrim and Xenoblade will keep me busy.
Can't say the discounts excite me.
So Luigi's Mansion 2 is just over 30% off if you combine with the MyNintendo discount for 20 gold coins. £11.51. I have a backlog but that's a pretty good price. No?
@riChchestM great game, even better price, go for it
Barely discounted, why even bother
For me the Switch discounts are, considering that it's a pretty new console, pretty interesting. I'm downloading Snake Pass because it has the better discount. Some others don't have such great percentages, actually.
I was hoping for Project Zero 2 to be on offer. :/
@riChchestM that's a good price but your better off just buying the cartridge. Getting it pre owned for maybe 10 pounds sounds better
@1UP_MARIO CEX price is £22 (for some reason)
@riChchestM but it's a select title. It's usually 15.99
@riChchestM Tesco direct sell it for 14 pounds. Free shipping.
Smyths sell it for 14.99
@1UP_MARIO CEX price by supply and demand, and sometimes that does mean they sell above RRP. That does also mean that they buy for £10 cash and £14.99. If I could play this game in a week I could get much of the money back, but that's not going to happen.
£14 at other shops is still more than £11.50.
@MonkiPlays it’s a good one!
@G0dlike £27.99
@Peace-Boy It is. NLife haven't included all sales. Project Zero 2 is £12.79.
@I-love-tea phantom trigger is half price- it's a fine game
@riChchestM CEX are selling switches for 350- why would anyone pay that when you can go into any other shop and pay 280- it's baffling beyond belief
@gordjscott I'm really enjoying butcher
@Dang69 at that price yes 👊
@darthstuey Fair enough, I'll look into that one.
Downloading Snake Pass (50% off) and Bulb Boy (30%) now. Want to get Thimbleweed Park, but it's only a £2.25 saving (15%), so will hold off on that for now.
@Dang69 I played it with the toucgscreen.
@RainbowGazelle Thank you!
I was waiting for a sale on Cave Story+, so I'll only buy that this time. I'll probably only play Odyssey this week anyway.
@Shinnos thimbleweed is 9.99 on iOS
@ThomasBW84 @BakaKnight @heathenmagic @RainbowGazelle Thanks all
@Zimon I didn't even try it undocked!!!!!!! Thanks!
Naturally the two games i am looking at on the 3ds either aren't on sale here (luigis mansion) or not available (devil survivor overclocked). Also Nintendos sales really do suck compared to sony and microsoft.
@macaron75 meh, the halloween sale on steam is also quite underwhelming this year so must be a trend.
Still Luigi's mansion is a nice deal for those who haven't played it.
