Surprisingly, and later than normal, we now have this week's Nintendo Download Update details for Europe. This week's new offerings are all on the 3DS, with a retail title and two high quality eShop options, though the official press release doesn't mention EarthBound Beginnings, which is an option already available for Wii U gamers. Let's get to the details, shall we?
Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts
Citizens of Earth (Atlus, €6.99 / £6.29 until 25th June, normally €11.99 / £9.99)
Cocoto Magic Circus 2 (Bigben Interactive, free until 2nd July if Cocoto Alien Brick Breaker is owned on the same account)
Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition (The Digital Lounge, €3.19 / £2.87 until 16th July, normally €7.99 / £7.19)
TNT Racers - Nitro Machines Edition (Keen Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 2nd July, normally €7.99 / £6.99)
Gravity Badgers (Wales Interactive, €2.49 / £2.49 until 16th July, normally €4.99 / £4.99)
Ice Cream Surfer (Dolores Ent., €2.50 / £2.20 until 2nd July, normally €5.00 / £4.49)
Suspension Railroad Simulator (Joindots, €7.19 / £5.39 until 2nd July, normally €7.99 / £5.99)
3DS eShop
Xeodrifter (Renegade Kid, €8.99 / £7.99) - The latest pixel-based title from Renegade Kid on 3DS, this is an exploration adventure title in which you explore four different planets in a bid to grab resources that'll repair your ship's warp core. There's a clear Metroidvania inspiration and some varied gameplay, with this title being produced in an impressively short time - we were fans of this in our Xeodrifter review.
Comic Workshop 2 (Collavier, €4.79 / £4.29 if you own Comic Workshop, otherwise €7.99 / £7.19) - Promising more responsive controls, new tools, better image quality and a plethora of other enhancements over the original, Comic Workshop 2 looks to be an excellent jumping-on point for veteran artists and newcomers alike. We'll sketch out a review soon.
3DS Retail Download
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley (Rising Star Games, €39.99 / £34.99) - The latest title in the much-loved series finally arrives in Europe, with this entry incorporating plenty of customisation and freedom in shaping the land. It strays from various series conventions, in our view unsuccessfully so; we were critical of this in our Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley review.
My Zoo Vet Practice 3D (Treva Entertainment, €29.99 / £24.99 ) - The name receives a perfect 10 for describing the game within, as this is a sim in which you manage and care for a wide range of exotic animals in a zoo. We expect plenty of touch screen usage and busy work, and we'll let you know how whether it's a worthy attraction or should be closed down in our review.
3DS Retail DLC
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley: New Outfit Set 1 (Rising Star Games, free)
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley: New Outfit Set 2 (Rising Star Games, free)
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley: Building Set 1 (Rising Star Games, free)
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley: Building Set 2 (Rising Star Games, free)

Worst Wii U week ever. Surely.
P.S - I Know Nindies at home and Mother 1 came out but going on what's going to made available this Thursday, it's the worst week ever.
I see Rising Star know how to price themes reasonably.
There's clearly more coming which will be announced tomorrow.
No option for "Nothing for Me"!
Anyways, its expected that the normal download list would be pretty weak. After all, they did offer a ton of unscheduled content yesterday. And I expect some surprise eShop updates though tomorrow.
Nothing for me but couldn't vote that
@Folkloner I'm pretty sure we'll have a treat or 2 come Thursday
What were people expecting to be available this week, the week of Nintendo E3?
Second week in a row with nothing new.
Nothing for me this week. You put in Harvest Moon in the title but it's NOT Friends of Mineral Town related? US got it last week, why not us!
A terrible week but the nindie demos/discounts is a great idea.
With all this E3 stuff i nearly forgot about this. Not that i was expecting much. Shame it is just the usual discounts with little to buy.
Xeodrifter! Finally! OMG I've been waiting on that game for ages!
Xeodrifter!!
Hopefully this suggests a few announcements tomorrow including something virtual console related...
The nindies at home was a great surprise and I'm sure there will be more through the week. I would be very shocked if this was all there was... Any chance of the nindies at home for the 3ds before the end of the week
There is new Wii U stuff out on thursday. Probably announced at E3.
the 'Nothing for me'-option is missing... the last few months been so utterly dissapointing. What is Nintendo thinking these days... there better be some extra suprise-E3 releases this week!!!
Where's my AVGN game?
I'm actually surprised they gave the download update this monday, with the digital event tomorrow I was sure this update would have been delayed for contain all the infos... Let's hope they are just trying to act normal while preapering some shocking "Avaiable after this presentation/in this week update" thing.
Not surprising given the dlc for Smash and possible E3 stuff. If they put too much out at once, people would only complain about that. Plus, no big release would want its thunder stolen by an announcement of a game at E3.
Yay HM themes! I hope they're cute and they come to NA.
No not nothing for me option.
I hope Xenodrifter will be out in Germany too. I don't know anymore at this point.
Freedom Planet Nindie Demo!
Can't vote since there is nothing to buy for me.
Earthbound beginnings and nindie demos for me.depending on my wages I'll pick up citizens of earth another world and comic workshop 2 tho I still need to get a couple of the current wii u discounts before then.
I don't count the demos, since they aren't part of the thursday update.
Sooo... nothing.
I think there will be more stuff coming to Europe on tomorrow...
Nothing for me this week, but i'll likely get Earthbound Beginnings eventually. The current list is very disappointing, but hopefully there'll be some suprises after the Digital Event.
When I read Harvest Moon, I thought Friends of Mineral Town would be coming to Europe already.
No matter what, as there isn't even a single new release, I guess that we can expect something after the direct tomorrow (although Mother 1 and the indie demos have been a nice start already).
There will be more to come
The fact there's no VC games whatsoever makes me hope for a Turbografx announcement at E3 tomorrow....
....oh and Gamecube for everyone else. XD
Another World looks intriguing
Trust Xeodrifter to come out just as mother 1 and the smash DLC took all my funds.
Have my fingers crossed that E3 will have some goodies ready, really hope so. Otherwise it might be time to get a 2nd console for the house.
Enjoy Xeodrifter, Europe!
@Liam1894 I've played the original. It's a stiff challenge, but I think I beat it. So long ago, I can't remember it too clearly!
Harvest Moon: Lost Valley is a game that they should not have even bothered to bring to Australia or Europe (I agree with the majority of reviews, including the one on this site). Story of Seasons on the other hand, that is a game that will be worth the wait.
Xeodrifter : 9€ => 8/10
Harvest Moon : 40€ => 4/10
Ok, I made my choice !!
@Angelic_Lapras_King
Wow, didn't even consider Turbografx for wiiuVC because I bought them all on the wii, but I wouldnt mind paying a little bit to upgrade them to wiiu like I did with paper mario. Im hoping for Turbografx VC now... oh, and Gamecube. lol
Since we aren't getting a new Metroid I'm buying Xeodrifter on 3DS and Axiom Verge on PS4 this week. I bought PSN and eShop credit hoping we would get a surprise eShop/PSN game...well, we got Mother so thats at least one positive
Aww. I saw Harvest Moon, and thought it was gonna be Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for Wii U Virtual Console. Anyone know if we'll actually be getting that, because it's just released in USA?
@whodatninja I would purchase Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town in a instance should it make its way to Europe/UK.
